Written Consent Workflow

FleetCaptain collects written SMS consent in its hosted RSVP flow before a recipient receives FleetCaptain RSVP invitation or reminder texts for a specific boat.

FleetCaptain is a sole proprietorship operated by Mark Jackson. The public-facing brand is FleetCaptain.

How Consent Is Collected

The recipient first opens a secure FleetCaptain invitation link. If the recipient wants SMS for that boat's RSVP workflow, FleetCaptain asks for a mobile number and shows an unchecked consent checkbox before any SMS is sent.

How Consent Is Stored

FleetCaptain stores a boat-scoped SMS consent record in its backend, including the phone number, boat context, consent status, consent text version, source page, and timestamps for grant or revocation events.

If a recipient replies STOP, Twilio forwards the opt-out event to FleetCaptain, and FleetCaptain marks the related consent record as revoked for future sends.

Scope of Consent

SMS is used only for invited participants who explicitly agree to receive FleetCaptain RSVP text messages for a specific boat's coordination workflow. FleetCaptain does not use this toll-free number for broad promotional marketing campaigns.
