Overview

FleetCaptain is used to coordinate boat events, crew invitations, and RSVP responses. This page describes the basic information handling practices for the public RSVP and messaging workflow.

Information We Use

FleetCaptain may process the following categories of information:

  • Boat, event, and invitation metadata.
  • Recipient contact information such as email address or phone number.
  • Boat-scoped SMS consent records, including consent status and timestamps.
  • RSVP responses and response timestamps.
  • Delivery and verification status for invitation links, email, and SMS.

How Messaging Is Used

FleetCaptain uses email and SMS for transactional communication related to boat-event invitations and RSVP reminders. SMS is sent only after the recipient grants written consent in the hosted FleetCaptain RSVP flow. Messages are intended to support a specific boat-event workflow and are not intended to function as broad marketing campaigns.

SMS recipients may opt out by replying STOP. Standard carrier messaging rates may apply depending on the recipient’s mobile plan.

How Information Is Shared

FleetCaptain may rely on service providers for infrastructure, authentication, email delivery, SMS delivery, and analytics. Information is shared only as needed to operate the invitation and RSVP workflow.

Retention

Invitation and RSVP records may be retained for operational, audit, troubleshooting, and coordination purposes for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service.
